Alexandra (Alex) Mitchell is a strategic marketing and branding consultant living in Kailua Kona, Hawai`i.  She has been a successful strategic marketer, sales consultant and public relations professional for more than 20 years working at such well-known companies as BusinessWeek, Chanel, U.S. News & World Report, the New York Observer, Time Out Publications and other top companies. Alex is also the owner of The Kona Shopper, a grocery shopping and delivery service based in Kailua Kona.

Alex managed a brand re-launch team for BusinessWeek’s $1.2 million international campaign, which included integrated advertising programs, consumer and trade events, and digital marketing.

She was also responsible for developing segments on national and local programs such as The Today Show, Today in New York, ABC News, Good Day New York; and has successfully pitched feature and lifestyle articles to the New York Times and other media.

As Marketing Director for the New York Observer, Alex developed, managed and launched New York City’s first-ever Consumer Real Estate Showcase, which generated $1 million in revenue.

Alex is a past president of the Ali`i Networkers chapter of Business Networking International (BNI, an international referral marketing organization. During her 18-month tenure the group passed more than $2.0 million in business to its members.
